Bobby Sherman was the darling of the teen mags beginning in 1965 when he appeared onTV dance party, "Shindig." Bobby had his own fan club, but the folks at Lauffer Publications jumped on the opportunity to market the "Getting Together" fan club kit, based on the short-lived series which debuted as an episode "The Partridge Family." Bobby was still very popular, though the show dissapeared quickly, as it was up against ratings power-house, "All In The Family."
