Leif's first regular role was in the short-lived "Three For The Road." his first apearance on the cover of Tiger Beat was in the July, 75 issue, sporting a headline "Meet My New Brother," with Leif pictured next to his "Road" co-star, Vince Van Patten. As Leif's fame grew, so did his credits. He starred in several movies, (including the classic, "Skateoard") and several guest spots (most notably as Kristy McNichol's boyfriend on "Family.") Leif himself is a true survior with a great sense of humor and and understanding of who he is and was. He made a humerous appearance as himself on the sitcom "Suddenly Susan" in 1999, and more recenltly performed in an off-Broadway play and made an appearance on a TV dating program in 2005. Leif had been pursuing a musical career, performing sporadically at clubs across the U.S., though that had quited down by mid-decade. More recently, Leif had a series of drug posession busts that ended with him being jailed for failing his sobriety tests. He was released in August, 2006 at which point a European production company began working on a documentary on his life story. | ||||||||||||||||

Leif's sister is Dawn Lynn, best known a Dodie from "My Three Sons" In 1989, Leif co-starred with David Cassidy in Leif, Andy Gibb and Shaun Cassidy all shared the same manager in the 70s. | ||||||||||||||||
